The Collection of Invertebrates was formed in 1996. Around 1000 specimens of Myriapoda, Annelida, Araneae, Scorpiones, Pseudoscorpiones, Crustacea, Gastropoda, Opiliones, and Isopoda have been collected so far.
A significant part of the Collection of Invertebrates are the androgenic and cave specimens of Opiliona, Isopoda and other animal groups. This material is mainly in the stage of treatment, and part of it has been determined y the associates from other natural history institutions. Between the cave and androgenic samples a series of new species for science has been established the holotypes of which will be soon deposited in The Collection of Invertebrates of Natural History Museum.

I was born in Skopje, Macedonia, in 1971. I completed elementary and secondary school, major biology in Podgorica. I graduated from Biological Faculty in Novi Sad in 1995, and defended master’s thesis on Biological Faculty of University in Belgrade in 2000. The theme of my master’s thesis was “Ant Fauna (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) in Boka Kotorska Bay with Ecological and Zoogeographic Analysis”. Closer field of work: taxonomy and ecology of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae).
PhD thesis: "Taxonomic and faunistic study of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) of mediterranean and oromediterranean part of Montenegro" is finished in 2010. on the Department of Morphology, Systematics and Phylogeny of Animals, University of Belgrade, under the mentority of Prof. Dr Željko Tomanović.
Research field: taxonomy, zoogeography and ecology of ants (Hymenoptera, Formicidae) from Balkan peninsula, mainly.
