CONTENTS OF SOME HEAVY METALS IN LETTUCE (LACTUCA SATIVA)

AND TOMATO (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM) IN THE BASIN OF THE RIVER BREGALNICA

S y n o p s i s

 

          This paper presents the results of the research of the contents of some heavy metals (Pb, Cd and Cu) in the river basin of Bregalnica in the lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicum).

          The research was performed at four locations (Makedonska Kamenica, Ularci, Istibanja and Blatec).

          The results can lead to the conclusion that the contents of these heavy metals in the examined cultures varies in a wide range. The lowest values were measured at the location Blatec which was chosen as a control measuring point as it is situated  on the River Osojnica that is ecologically not polluted, and the highest values were measured at the location near Makedonska Kamenica. This is the result of the irrigation of these crops with the water from the River Kamenicka that is polluted with waste waters from the lead and zinc mine "Sasa".

SADRŽAJ NEKIH TEŠKIH METALA U ZELENOJ SALATI (LACTUCA SATIVA)

I PARADAJZU (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM) U BASENU RIJEKE BREGALNICE

 

          U radu su prezentirani rezultati istraživanja sadržaja nekih teških metala (Pb, Cd i Cu) u slivnom području reke Bregalnice u zelenoj salati ( Lactuca sativa ) i paradajzu (Solanum lycopersicum).

          Istraživanja su izvršena na 4 lokacije (Makedonska Kamenica, Ularci, Istibanja i Blatec).

          Na osnovu dobijenih rezultata može se zaključiti da sadržaj ovih teških metala u ispitivanim kulturama varira u širokom dijapazonu. Najniže vrednosti su izmerene na lokaciji Blatec koja je izabrana za kontrolnu mernu tačku jer se nalazi na reci Osojnici koja je ekološki nezagađena, a najviše vrednosti su izmerene na lokaciji u blizini Makedonske Kamenice. To je posledica navodnjavanja ovih kultura vodom iz Kameničke reke koja je zagađena otpadnim vodama iz rudnika olova i cinka “Sasa”.
