HYDRO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MORACA RIVER WATERS

S y n o p s i s

 

In the work, the accent has been put on the review of hydro-chemical characteristics of the river basin of the Moraca, for the purpose of better defining the river basin on one, and the quality of water on the other hand. In that connection, hydro-chemical characteristics of water were assessed on the basis of monitoring data of the Institute for Hydrometeorology (IHM ) during the period 1996-2004. For the establishment of possible quality changes, some relations were used as indicators, like: dry residue at 105şC (S.O) and electro-conductivity of water at 20şC (EC). For the purpose of significance assessment of changes caused by an artificial factor, and the deviation of quality from the natural balance of the ecosystem being observed, Mol ratio Ca/Mg and the values of correlation coefficient R (EC-Ca) were used.

It has been estimated that the River Moraca waters have a short contact with the ground, which means low level of mineralization (EC20 = 191-353 μs/cm), which ranks them as primary waters, of calcium hydro-carbonate type with weakly expressed alkaline character.

HIDROHEMIJSKA SVOJSTVA VODA RIJEKE MORAČE

 

U radu je stavljen naglasak na prikaz hidrohemijskih karakteristika voda sliva Morače u cilju boljeg definisanja sliva s jedne strane, i kvaliteta vode s druge strane. U vezi s tim procijenjene su hidrohemijske karakteristike voda na bazi podataka monitoringa Hidrometeorološkog zavoda u periodu 1996-2004. godina. Za utvrđivanje mogućih promjena kvaliteta kao indikatori korišćeni su neki odnosi, kao: suvi ostatak na 105 0C (S.O) i elektroprovodljivost vode na 20 °C (EC). U svrhu procjene značajnosti promjena izazvanih vještačkim faktorom, odnosno odstupanja kvaliteta od prirodne ravnoteže posmatranog eko sistema poslužili su mol.odnos Ca/Mg i vrijednosti koeficijenta korelacije R (EC-Ca).

Procijenjeno je da vode rijeke Morače imaju kratki kontakt sa tlom, odnosno nizak stepen mineralizacije ( EC20 = 191-353 μs/cm ), koji ih svrstava u primarne vode, kalcijum hidrokarbonatnog tipa sa slabo izraženim alkalnim karakterom.
