The Fourth International Symposium of the Ecologists of Montenegro (ISEM4) is organizing by the scientists from Department of Biology of University of Montenegro, Natural History Museum of Montenegro and Republic Institute for Protection of Nature.

Each section will start by plenary lectures, prepared by eminent ecologists from Montenegro and other countries.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Language
The official language of the conference will be English. No translation facilities will be available.
Insurance
The organisers of the conference recommend that participants arrange their own insurance for health, travel and property. The organisers will not accept any liability for personal injury or for loss of, or damage to, property.

USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT MONTENEGRO

Bank and currency exchange
The officiak currency is the European EURO.
International major credit cards are usually accepted for payment at hotels, large restaurants and shopping centers. But, you would not be surprised if payment with credit cards will be declined in some shops and restaurants. The organizers recommend that participants exchange money exclusively in authorized banks. Usually, you can exchange USD, GBP, JPY and Serbian DINAR.

Visas
A visa is not required for entry into the Crna Gora (Montenegro).


Electricity
Electricity in Montenegro is 220-230 V, alternating at 50 cycles per second. European-style two-pin plugs are used.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

All Abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts. Abstracts exceeding the one A4 page will not be forward for publication in the book of abstracts. Abstracts should be written in English on one A4 format singly spaced page. A margin of 2 cm should be left on the top and bottom and 2.5 cm on both right and left sides of the text. The title should be written in Font 14 (Times New Roman) and in Bold capital letters. The rest of the abstract should be in 12 point font (Times), with text maximum up to 200 words. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. Then the author's affiliation and full address should be given in Italics.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is 1. August 2010 (by e-mail: pesicv@t-com.me or to the ISEM4 address noted at the end of the announcement).

IMPORTANT
Note, that the presenting author of the abstract should register for the conference and pay the registration fee by 1 September 2010.
Those abstracts, whose presenting authors fail to register and pay the registration fee by the deadline, will be permanently withdrawn and will not be published.

 
Oral and poster presentation

Presentation on the Symposium will be oral or poster.
Duration of oral presentations is limited at 10 minutes, except plenary lectures-40 minutes.
Organisator will provide video bim projector. Prefered format of presentations is Microsoft Power Point 2000, 2003 or 2007.
Poster size is limited to 100 cm width (100-150cm height). Doubleside adhesive ribbon will be available for installation of posters.

CALL FOR PAPERS Articles from the Symposium will be published with priority in Journal for science and popular science "NATURA MONTENEGRINA" per reviewed journal published by Natural History Museum of Montenegro.

ACCOMMODATION The Organizer has booked the hotel "Slovenska plaza" with discounted room rates. The Symposium will be held in the Congress center of the Hotel.

We strongly advise that participants reserve their hotel rooms as soon as possible. The organizer will not be able to guarantee room availability when Symposium will be opened, because reservation will be handled on “first-come, first-served” basis.

CONDITION OF PAYMENT

Registration Fee:
80 EUR - regular participants (until 01. October 2010)
40 EUR – for students (including MSc and PhD unemployed students).

90 EUR - late registration, at the Symposium registration desk
50 EUR - late registration for students, MSc and PhD unemployed students.
Registration fee for employed students is as for regular participants.

This includes conference materials, Book of Abstracts, journal Natura Montenegrina with Articles from ISEM4, Gala dinner, coffee break.

Accompanying person: No registration fee is necessary. Optional registration fee includes Gala Dinner and excursion - total aproximate value: 50 EUR

EXCURSION is foreseed during the ISEM4. More information will be send in the last announcement. Expected subscription fee is 35 EUR.
